The 2026 Art Fest took place outside of Newbo City Market on Sunday September 6th from 9:00AM-4:00PM. The event featured 38 different artists from 21 different cities across Iowa, and one from Spring Grove Illinois. Art Fest took place every year from 2007-2019, and was held for the first time since the COVID19 pandemic last year. All of the booths are sponsor funded so that the artists don’t have to pay anything to display their work at Art Fest. The New Bohemia Arts group sponsors the event. Anne Stamats from the New Bohemia Arts Group has organized the event since 2016.
Cedar Rapids resident Byron Turner plays the public piano outside of NewBo City Market while attending Art Fest on Sunday September 6th. Turner has been playing the piano for about 11 years.
Melissa Carlson looks at some of the jewelry available for sale by Lil Buggies Designs owner Ann Marie McNamara while attending Art Fest with her mom. McNamara was at the Cedar Rapids Farmers Market on Saturday September fifth, and will be at the Hiawatha Farmers Market on Sunday September 13th.

Kris Philippe from Cedar Rapids looks at some of the paintings available for sale by Kerry Simmons. Philippe attended last years Art Fest and plans to participate in next year’s Art Fest as a vendor. Simmons (who’s business is based in Spring Grove Illinois) has been in business for twenty years.
