The annual Freedom Feastival was held Friday May 2nd from 11:00AM to 8:00PM at Green Square Park in Cedar Rapids. Food vendors, Live Music, yard games and kids activities were all available to enjoy at the event. The Freedom Feastival is hosted by the non-profit Freedom Festival which will host the annual week long freedom festival celebration June 26th-July 4th of this year. The Freedom Festival has been held in Cedar Rapids annually for almost fifty years.

Alan Started the band, which is exclusively for people ages fifty five and up, in 1999. The band rehearses every Tuesday morning for two hours.
