The Freedom Festival's end to their week long 4th of July Celebration
The annual 4th of July celebration took place by the 2nd Ave bridge in downtown Cedar Rapids from 7:00AM-11:00PM on Friday the 4th. The day began with Yoga on Mays Island. It also included a pancake breakfast, Car Show, face painting courtesy of Designs by Lori, rides provided by H&H Fun Rides, a concert headlined by Dalles Jacobus, and was capped off with one of the biggest fireworks shows in Iowa. The 4th of July Celebration in Cedar Rapids is the end of the week long Freedom Festival celebration which began on Thursday June 26th, and has taken place in the downtown area every year for the last forty two years. Freedom Festival is a nonprofit organization that provides family friendly events to the Cedar Rapids area.
A Pancake Breakfast took place in the Veterans Memorial Building on Mays Island on Friday July 4th. The Pancake Breakfast took place from 8:00AM-11:00AM.
