The 11th weekly Hiawatha Farmers Market took place at the 10th Avenue parking lot of Guthridge Park on Sunday from 10AM-1PM. The Hiawatha Farmers market has been held every year for the last 25 years, and takes place every weekend from the first Sunday in May to the last Sunday in October. Vegetables, flowers, baked goods, honey, meat, arts, and crafts are all available at the market.

Dill has owned Dill’s Kettle Korn for 28 years, and has ran the business with his wife for the last 15 years. Dill has done the Hiawatha Farmers market off and on for the last 15 years, and also does the Cedar Rapids Farmers Market on Saturdays.
Karla Scruff takes a look at some of the earrings for sale at the Lil Buggies Designs tent. Lil Buggies Designs has been in business for the last two years, and is owned by Ann Marie McNamara.
Brenna Hartse from Minnesota takes a look at some of the products available for sale at Dusty’s 3D Design’s tent. Dusty’s 3D Designs is based in Muskatine Iowa.
Customers take a look at some of the produce available at the Bloomers Produce tent during the Hiawatha Farmers Market. Bloomers Produce is based in Conesville Iowa, and has been selling produce at the Hiawatha Farmers Market for the Last 15 years.

The Blue Strawberry Owner Wesley Bryant sells coffee to a customer while participating in the Hiawatha Farmers Market on Sunday. The Blue Strawberry was bought by Bryant in 2018, and is based in Marion.
Melissa McNamara from Blakley’s Garden sells a head of lettuce to a couple of customers during the farmers market held at Guthridge Park on Sunday. Blakley’s Garden has had a station at the Hiawatha Farmers Market every year since 2003.
ReFarming Microgreens owner and 6th generation farmer Deann Johnson tells some of her customers about the organic products that she sells. ReFarming is based in Benton County Iowa.

Jim Grieder from Homemade by Theresa Homegrown by Jim sells some sweets to Marie Blattner during the Farmers Market at Guthridge Park in Hiawatha on Sunday the 13th. Grieder owns Homemade by Theresa Homegrown by Jim with his wife Theresa Grieder. The Grieders started the business in 2005 to help send their son on a high school trip to Germany. Their business, which they also sell sweets for at the Cedar Rapids Farmers Market, is based in Ely Iowa.
Matt Rehberg grills hamburger for customers of Rehberg’s Pork at the Farmers Market in Hiawatha on Sunday. Rehberg’s Pork, which is based in Walker Iowa, is owned by Denny and Lea Rehberg (Matt is their son). The Rehberg’s Raise Hampshire Hogs. Both the Hampshire breed and the heard owned by the Rehbergs predate the RN stress gene that was introduced in the 1970’s to make the hogs thinner.
