The 54th Solon Beef Days took place on Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th. Solon’s Beef Days was started by the Solon Optimist Club, Solon Fire Department, Solon American Legion and the Solon Jaycees. The Solon Beef Days are currently hosted by the non-profit The Solon Beef Days Celebration INC. Profits from the Beef Days are donated to several other organizations in the Solon area. These organizations include the Solon School District, civic groups, senior citizens groups, scholarships for college-bound area students, Solon Parks Department improvements, Community Main Street causes, the Recreation Department, and more.

Presley Wood Rides one of the Rides available at the Solon Beef Days Celebration on Friday the 18th. The Solon Beef Days Committee has donated over $385,000 to a variety of local community projects, causes and scholarships.

The band Sugar & Spice performs for the crowd before the Haybale Toss during the Solon Beef Days Celebration. Sugar & Spice’s next performance will be at Bloomsbury Farm in Atkins on August 2nd.
Joy Robertson competes in the Womens Haybale Toss during the Beef Days celebration in Solon on Friday the 18th. The Beef Days celebration also featured a 5k Fun Run, Parade, Bingo, Waterball Fights, Bags Tournament, Horseshoe Tournament, Archery Tournament, and a Big Wheel Race.

80’s cover band from Cedar Rapids Slap’n’Tickle perform as the headliner for the Solon Beef Days celebration concert on Friday. Musical acts Spirit Awake, Frank Martin Busch and The Names, and Tyler Richton & The High Bank Boys performed on Saturday.
